MIANWALI: District Health Authority Chief Executive Officer Dr Parvez Iqbal has appealed to the people to adopt all possible precautionary measures for avoiding the fatal coronavirus pandemic as the number of patients tested positive has reached 45 in Mianwali.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, CEO Dr Iqbal said no single department could deal with the pandemic alone. “With the cooperation of the general public and adoption of the safety measures, the fatal disease can be prevented,” he added.

The chief executive officer warned that if people did not act upon the precautionary and safety measures and took the Covid-19 disease seriously, they would have to face dangerous conditions. He said a woman had died due to coronavirus.

He further warned the people that if they did not take care and cooperate with the administration in controlling the disease, the death rate might increase.

Dr Iqbal appealed to people to avoid shaking hands, use gloves, keep social distance and ensure complete implementation of the SOPS.
