LAHORE: A young boy was attacked by a pet german shepherd in a park in Lahore's Moon Market on Wednesday.

Muhammad Azam,13, was playing in the park when the dog, who was being walked by his owner Imran Raees, jumped at him.

Azam, who sells toys on the street, was shifted to Jinnah Hospital and subsequently discharged after treatment.

Footage of the incident went viral. It showed passersby desperately attempting to restrain the dog from mauling Azam.

An FIR was registered against the dog's owner, Imran Raees, and police initiated action. However, both parties soon reached an agreement.

Azam's parents told The Express Tribune that they have forgiven Raees.
