Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra has found herself in hot waters more than once this past year. Now, an old video of the Quantico star has resurfaced and put her in an awkward position once again.

Meme-makers on Facebook are taking a dig at PeeCee’s comments from back in her early days in the industry. “I’m dusky myself and I’m very proud to be dusky. I would never go around saying that you need to become fair and that’s the only way you’d be beautiful because I don’t endorse that…” she says in the clip.

Watch the video here.

The video then cuts abruptly to different advertisements for various fairness creams that Chopra has endorsed and promoted over the years. In one, she is seen getting fairer with the voice over saying, “Give your skin a pinkish, white glow.” So naturally, people are calling the Bajirao Mastani out for hypocrisy.

The video on Facebook is titled ‘Priyanka Chopra, the CEO of hypocrisy’ with people barraging her with similar names in the comments section.

In fact, it has been getting even more attention because of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, which first swept across the US following the murder of African-American George Floyd, and has now taken over global social media.

Having said that, many stars supporting the movement are being called out for turning a blind eye to local issues.
