QUETTA: Balochistan Minister for Secondary Education Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind has said that reopening of educational institutions will be decided next month on July 15.

In a statement released on Monday, he made it clear that stern action will be taken against representatives of private educational institutes if they attempt to reopen without permission. “Nothing is more important than the health of teachers and students,” he maintained.

Rind noted that the decision regarding closure of educational institutions was taken unanimously by provinces, adding that the government was keenly observing the situation from every angle and was well aware about the difficulties being faced by the owners of private schools including students and teachers.

It is pertinent to note that in spite of repeated claims and warnings by the provincial education ministry and administration, several owners of private schools in Quetta have reopened their institutions.
