ISLAMABAD: An officer at the Kohsar police station has tested positive for the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), a police spokesperson said on Sunday. He added that the Koral Station House Officer (SHO) was immediately self-isolated at his home while the swab samples of the station’s staff were taken for testing as a precaution.

The spokesperson further said that the officer started displaying symptoms for the virus a few days ago after which he was tested. The official said that test results for staff at the police station are expected to be received soon.

In the meantime, the police spokesperson said that the station has been closed for public dealing and will only be reopened once it has been fully disinfected.
