A clip purportedly showing actress Ayesha Omar confessing her desire to marry Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid has gone viral.


The claim was shared hundreds of times by several news outlets and television channels also airing it.

The Express Tribune analysed the snippet from the interview and found the claim to be misleading.



Ayesha sat down for a recent interview where she was posed the question that,"Hypothetical situation, no men left are left in the world except for Sheikh Rasheed, Rana Sanaullah, Qaim Ali Shah, Chaudhary Shujaat, and Tahir ul Qadri...Who out of them would you marry?"


The model smirked saying she would choose Rashid as "he is funny, entertaining, good sense of humour and light-hearted".
