I don't want to have a daughter: Humaima Malick
The actor thinks that she would become an over-possessive mother if she has a girl
Actor Humaima Malick recently appeared on Ahsan Khan's talk show, alongside her sister Dua Malick. During the episode, the Bol actor revealed that she would prefer having a son rather than a daughter when the time comes.
Acknowledging that a daughter is a blessing, Humaima deemed it as a huge responsibility. "I don't want to have a daughter. The reason for it is that it will be a huge responsibility on my shoulders. They are indeed a blessing but also a great responsibility,” she said. “I am so possessive about my sister. I can't even imagine what I would be like with my daughter. If I have a daughter I won’t be able to let go of her; I know this about myself.”
Additionally, Humaima was also asked about getting married again, with Ahsan grilling her about the qualities she wants in a husband. To this, the actor initially joked saying, "He should be fair, tall, handsome, rich, must have a nice car, blue eyes and a blue dress."
On a serious not though, The Legend of Maula Jatt star then said that a great support system is all she needs in a husband. “I need a person like my father. Like my father supported my mother throughout, I want someone who does the same for me. Like my father respected my mother, I want my husband to respect me. He should keep my journey and history into consideration and build me up even more, both on an emotional and mental level.”
Humaima was previously married to actor Shamoon Abbasi for three years. In an earlier interview, she had revealed that it was an abusive marriage. Shamoon had subsequently denied any abuse from his end during the course of their marriage, pointing out that he was confused by his ex-wife’s comments.
