Covid-19 patients cross 300 mark in Abbottabad

Medical and paramedical staff members were also vulnerable to the virus, the officials says

ABBOTTABAD: Number of coronavirus patients in district Abbottabad crossed the figure of 300 including 32 doctors and paramedical staff.

Officials of the District Health Authority said people of Abbottabad were not following K-P government instructions and SOPs which was the major cause for an increasing number of cases.

During Ramazan, they said, people from all over the Hazara division had come to markets and bazaars of Abbottabad for Eid shopping without using any precautionary measures.

Moreover, the medical and paramedical staff members were also vulnerable to the virus, the officials said.

According to the health department figures, four doctors and three nurses have contracted the virus in Ayub Medical Complex. In District Headquarters Hospital, six doctors, five nurses, four Lady Health Visitors (LHV), four midwives, four ward boys, a security guard, a tube well operator and a radiologist were tested Covid-19 positive.
