RAWALPINDI: Police on Wednesday booked a man who had allegedly kidnapped a six-year-old girl and molested her.

The victim’s father told the New Town police that the suspect, MW*, had kidnapped his daughter and allegedly molested her. Following the complaint, the police registered a case and immediately conducted a raid to arrest the suspect. Police also recovered the minor from the suspect’s custody.

Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Ahsan Younus appreciated the Rawal SP and New Town police for their swift action and said that they had zero-tolerance for the exploitation of women and children.

He added that all such offenders will be made an example for others. The CPO directed the police to prepare a charge-sheet with concrete evidence so that he could be punished severely by the court.
