Nurse contracts Covid-19 in Attock
Of those infected, 15 patients are receiving treatment in different hospitals of the district
ATTOCK: The Attock health authorities on Thursday confirmed that a female nurse at the District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital has contracted the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), raising the total number of infected patients in the district to 97.
The district administration, in a statement on the current status of the pandemic in the district, said that the nurse contracted the virus while treating Covid-19 positive patients in the hospital.
The official said that the number of suspected Covid-19 cases have increased to 1,922 in the district while as many as 5,352 people have been screened so far. Of those tested, he said that the test results of 240 suspected patients are still awaited.
Of those infected, 15 patients are receiving treatment in different hospitals of the district.
The condition of those receiving treatment at different hospitals or quarantine centres is stable, he said.
