Siblings beat, strangle stepfather to death

FAISALABAD: Out of resentment for divorcing their mother and remarrying, two siblings strangulated their stepfather after beating him with rods on Sunday in Satiana.

Police registered a case and conducted raids to arrest the accused. They also arrested the mother and son-in-law of the accused for further investigation regarding the murder. As per details, 55-year-old Yasin, son of Hanif, a resident of Chak 31GB, had divorced Shamim Akhtar two years ago and remarried. Out of spite, his former wife’s children Muzammil and Yasmeen broke into his house and attacked him with rods and sticks. After beating him ruthlessly, they put a rope around his neck and dragged him to the porch of the house. As a result, Yasin died on spot.
