ABBOTTABAD: Unknown assailants shot dead a middle-aged couple in the jurisdiction of Havelian Police Station here on Sunday night. Police and family sources told that Zakia Bibi, 48, and her husband Sabir Hussain, 52, were asleep in the courtyard of their house in Magri Paracha village when three masked men entered their home after scaling the boundary wall and opened indiscriminate fire at the couple, killing both on the spot. However, their son and daughter-in-law escaped unhurt as they hid behind a door. The couple’s son Asif filed an FIR and the police are investigating the case.
