Meat Matters: Livestock Dept nabs butcher

KHANEWAL: The Livestock district officer recently raided a butcher’s shop here on Sunday and recovered 80kg of substandard meat. According to officials, DO (livestock) Dr Safdar Hameed inspected several shops in the area along with a team. The team arrested Pul Musafirkhana resident Irshad for selling watered meat and carrion to customers. Livestock officials recovered 80kg substandard meat from his shop and Chubklan police have registered a case against the accused.
