MULTAN:

Member Punjab Assembly and chief of the Seraiki province movement Nazim Hussain Shah said on Monday that the establishment of a Seraiki province would bring progress and prosperity to the region.

He asserted that Multan had a historic identity which had been usurped when the British ended the provincial status of the region in 1860. He added that the establishment of a Seraiki province was in the manifesto of the Pakistan Peoples Party and those who opposed it will be disappointed in the near future.
