JI deputy chief and former Senior Minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Sirajul Haq, while addressing a press conference at the Lahore Press Club on Monday said that the presidential regulation gave unlimited powers to the DCO and the political agent, enabling them to play with the lives of the tribal people, especially government officials.
Senior JI leader and ex MNA Sahibzada Haroonur Rashid, was also present at the press comference.
Haq said that the regulation was issued to advance a US agenda for splitting Pakistan into mini states but added that the JI would foil every such attempt by the PPP.
Terming the regulation a black spot on the face of democracy, he said the JI would also challenge the regulation before the Supreme Court.
He said under this black law, the injustices inflicted by drone attacks and military operations upon people could not be challenged in any law court or Jirga.
He further said that the decisions taken by the DCO and the political agent could not be challenged in any court or forum.

create jobs in fata then they wont join taliban
Great stance by jamaat there! Fata needs to be given it's rights! No compromise!
Implementation of Pak constitution in that area also means abolition of Jirga system. Will FATA accept that?
This is indeed a very timely and commendable step. Our civil society, lawyers and every concerned citizen, who believe in universal human rights, should also come forward and join this struggle by keeping aside their socio-political affiliations. This new regulation if imposed will be an attempt to further marginalize the tribesmen who have been a victims of State's negligence since the very inception of Pakistan. one gets wonder how could in 21st century such draconian laws be allowed to be implemented. This will be an utmost violation of the basic human rights. Tribesman of FATA have already suffered a lot and any such step will further aggravate their grievances to the core.
One comment above are near to ground realities that army wants to get rid of junk. Our army is very unfortunate that those are doing junk cleaning since sixty years. All martial laws were junk cleaning, Bhutto hanging was also junk cleaning, case of treason against Javed Hashmi, lashes on the backs of political workers, treason case against Mian Nawaz Shariff. Poor army is cleaning junk and let them do their own work. Entire army is busy in junk cleaning at Frontier areas, FATA, Karachi, Baluchistan in the form of Rangers or Frontier Const. We are unable to understand that no day go when 10-20 persons are not killed in those areas. Is there any junk left and what is surety that poor army would not start to clear junk from media, politicians, lawyers, judiciary and administration. Don't see who is saying, see what is saying. Please.
Since you don't control the tribal territories and have no military plans to take control --- what's the point of arguing over laws which apply to those territories?
now that the army is finally getting rid of the junk, these mullahs need a voice which has been suppressed by this new order. You're better off this way JI, we in FATA don't need you anymore
Blasphemy law is against basic human rights. Do JI oppose that too?
Why cannot they just simply disagree without pitching it against Islam and Sharia? And why the simple act of laying an egg by an ordinary hen appears to be advancement of the American agenda to these Jamatis?
For once I agree with these Jamaatis!
FATA has been treated like a tribal colony of Pakistan since 1947. The colonial era Frontier Crimes Regulations Act and insistence of not bringing FATA to mainstream political and financial (esp. taxation!) processes as seen across rest of Pakistan is disgraceful.
The people of FATA deserved to be treated and taken care of as equal citizens of rest of Pakistan.
