Man stabbed to death, brother injured

Police take body into custody and register case against six accused

FAISALABAD: A man who came to his in-laws’ house to persuade his wife to go with him was attacked and stabbed to death in the Razaabad area.

The man suffered fatal injuries and died while his brother was rushed to a hospital in a critical condition. Police took the body into custody and registered a case against the six accused.

Police said Muhammad Asif’s wife came to her parents’ house after a dispute with her husband. Asif and his brother Iftikhar came to the former’s in-laws in Aleem Park area. An argument ensued and Naveed stabbed his brother-in-law Asif and Iftikhar.

They were shifted to the emergency ward of Allied Hospital in a critical condition where Iftikhar succumbed to his injuries while his brother is said to be in critical condition.

Razaabad police reached the spot, took the body of Iftikhar, son of Ghulam Qadir in their possession, and kept it in the post-mortem department of Allied Hospital for postmortem and started raids to find the suspects.
