Sunny Leone in more online searches than Salman Khan

According to a study, female celebrities in India are searched more times than men

It appears that ladies of Bollywood are far more popular than the men. According to a recent survey Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sunny Leone, and Katrina Kaif are the most widely searched Indian women celebrities globally online, reported Social News XYZ.

The three ladies were searched 3.9 million, 3.1 million, and 1.9 million average times respectively in the last four months as per figures published by SEMrush.

Compared to this the most globally searched Indian men Salman Khan, Virat Kohli, and Hrithik Roshan raked an average 21 million, 2 million, and 1.3 million.

Other female Bollywood celebrities in descending order included Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Disha Patani, Sara Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna.

In descending order, other male celebrities in the top ten were Rohit Sharma, Allu Arjun, Shah Rukh Khan, Tiger Shroff, Vijay Deverakonda, MS Dhoni, and Mahesh Babu.

"Indian women have an edge over men. Our research shows that the most searched for Indian celebrity isn't a man but a woman, namely Priyanka Chopra. Over the three months, the study was conducted, she was sought by almost 20 lakh more people than Salman Khan -- the most searched for male celebrity in India," said Fernando Angulo, Head of Communications
