In memes: Twitter goes in a frenzy after board exams cancel

#CallOfUniversityExams trends as senior students feel betrayed and get trolled by juniors

Entertainment Desk May 08, 2020

The government announced promotion of board students without exams yesterday, May 7, 2020 and university students are not happy.

According to the latest decision, board students will be promoted on the basis of previous assessments, in order to provide relief in times of Covid-19. The Federal Minister Education, Shafqat Mahmood wrote on his Twitter:

"Two important decisions taken by PM Imran Khan in the NCC today. One, All educational institutions will remain closed till July 15. Two, ALL Board exams throughout the country have been cancelled. Students would be assessed on their previous performance in Board exams."

As for universities he said, "Universities would decide their exams schedule according to their own policies and according to the direction and SOPs issued by the Higher Education Commission"

This led to a series of celebratory tweets from the board students and a series of disappointed ones from university goers who felt betrayed by the government.

"We have rights too!," some yelled in all caps on Twitter, while the younger lot continued to troll them with memes expressing their feelings.

Here are some we loved most, but university goers might not:
