Ramazan bazaar: DCO visit reveals sub standard goods

DCO Ahad khan Cheema visited several Ramazan Bazaars in city on Sunday to inspect the quality of arrangements. He was accompanied by the District Officer (monitoring and inquiry), Ameen Akbar Chopra.

The DCO took notice of the sale of sub standard meat at the Shadmaan bazaar and suspended the district officer (livestock) for it. An examination of the flour sacks revealed that most of them were underweight.

Upon this, he ordered the registeration of an FIR against the flour mills which had supplied the sacks. He later visited the bazaars in Johar Town, Model Town, Islampura, Shadara and Wagha Town, pointing out irregularities and ordering corrective measures.
