PIA to operate four special relief flights from Lahore

On May 7, two PIA special flights will depart from Lahore to Dubai and bring back stranded Pakistanis

LAHORE: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced on Wednesday that it will operate four special relief flights from Lahore.

On May 7, a special PIA flight carrying British nationals will depart for London from Lahore.

On May 8, an empty aircraft will depart for Dubai and bring back Pakistani nationals to Lahore.

According to the PIA spokesperson, an aircraft carrying 200 passengers will arrive in Lahore from London.

On May 7, two PIA special flights will depart from Lahore to Dubai and bring back 400 stranded Pakistanis to Faisalabad.

Late last month, PIA worked out an extraordinary special flights operation to bring back 20,000 stranded Pakistanis from around the world within a fortnight.

Under its special mission, the sources said, the national flag carrier would operate 103 flights to repatriate the stranded Pakistanis from the UK, UAE, France, Germany, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Muscat, Malaysia and Oslo by May 9.
