BIRMINGHAM:
Controversial British sprinter Dwain Chambers has qualified for the World Championships in Daegu after winning the UK 100-metre title. Chambers received a two-year ban and a life-time suspension from the Olympics in 2003 for using prohibited substance THG, but remains one of Britain’s leading sprinters and will be in South Korea for the world finals. The 33-year-old won the trial event in 10.09 seconds ahead of Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Marlon Devonish.
