Deadly virus: Another health worker succumbs to Covid-19
Sindh Young Nurses Association (SYNA) leader Aijaz Kaleri said that Noman was a member of Al-Khidmat Foundation
KARACHI: A nurse of Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital succumbed to the coronavirus on Tuesday.
The deceased, identified as Noman, was under treatment in the intensive care unit of the hospital.
Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital's medical superintendent Dr Khadim Hussain confirmed the news and said that Noman's condition was critical before his death.
Sindh Young Nurses Association (SYNA) leader Aijaz Kaleri said that Noman was a member of Al-Khidmat Foundation and the SYNA salutes Noman's courage. He demanded that doctors and paramedics who have lost lives to the coronavirus should be given the status of martyrs and their families should be offered relief packages. "The SYNA is proud of nurses, fighting on the frontline, to serve the nation while risking their own lives," said Kaleri.
