In Punjab, shopkeepers seek lockdown relaxation

Bukhari said that traders are playing a pivotal role in the economic development of a country

A delegation of traders’ community of Attock met with Punjab Assembly Public Accounts Committee Chairman Syed Yawer Abbas Bukhari on Sunday.

Attock is the home constituency of Bukhari, therefore he takes a special interest in its issues.

Bukhari said that traders are playing a pivotal role in the economic development of a country. “Government will support traders and try to resolve their just issues,” he said.

However, he added that the traders should comply with the SOPs framed for the prevention of coronavirus spread.


The members of the delegation informed Bukhari about the problems they were facing due to the lockdown.

Traders were extending full support to the administration against Covid-19, however, there should be some relaxation to continue business. The members of the delegation also presented some suggestions for easing the lockdown.
