Karachi violence: Over 20 dead in new round of chaos
Police say west and east zones of the city are highly volatile including Orangi Town, Liyari, Landhi and Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
One person was gunned down early morning in Orangi Town while another tortured body was found from Sector 11 of Orangi.
In Surjani Town's Sector 7D firing by unidentified armed men on a pick up claimed two lives, while one person was shot dead in Surjani Town.
Armed men also engaged in a clash for several hours claiming two lives in Khuda ki Basti area.
One body was found in Shersha Mira Naka area from Liyari river.
A joint Police and Rangers search operation in Landhi has ended. DIG West, Naeem Akram Bharoka says no arrests were made during the three hours of door to door search operation. However, a large quantity of used bullets were recovered from a water tank.
Earlier, 15 people including a police official were gunned down in various incidents of target killing in Karachi yesterday.

Yes I am agreeing with u 100% Bosnia, Montenegro Macedonia and Yugoslavia’s divisions are the example for us. But before You do, they should also make Kashmir a separate country also includes Naga land and many other issues in sub continent. Can we do that?

Please don't bring Qur’an or religions into arguments. This is in between u and Your God. We all believe in pray one way or other. No religion in the world will ask You to kill and Islam never preaches this. 1st ayet is “read” and Do we? It is Jahalat, Over 6 million of Muslims Live in USA alone. Most of them are good Muslim Doctors scientist and engineers we praise of, very few of them are fanatic too

India should call for a special session of the UN to consider placing of foreign forces in Karachi and other sensitive areas in Pakistan to control the un-manageable situation due to endless violence and about dozen killings taking place almost on daily basis, which is beyond the control of the state for many months. It should be emphasised that such an explosive situation in Pakistan is likely to cause disintegeration of the country, leading to disturbance of peace in the entire region including India, necessitating UN intervention. .
This is just a power struggle between different ethnic groups and several lives are being lost. The whole city, infact the whole country is armed to the teeth right from Zia days. :(
People have turned into stones here and no one expresses sympathy for the dead/injured. These people can be one of them. Religious Hatred, nepotism of the rulers, corruption, jihadi mindset of ears of brain washing are the primary reasons.
I guess the Home Minister takes a break on weekends. And the peace rally in elite area of city did no good.........
as long as some people think secularism is greater than teaching of quran this conflict will go on forever.
Hats off to you the government!!! When the firing and killing in a particular area ends then they start search operation, giving them sufficient time to leave and disappear. Dont make people fool any more. Just remember that one day you will appear before Allah, then what you will do????
