DHA killing: Missing young man’s body found
The body of a young son of an official of Defence Housing Authority (DHA) was recovered late Saturday night. Officials assert that the body of Syed Bilal, son of Syed Jalal, was nearly eight days old when found from a desolate plot in phase eight, within the jurisdiction of Gizri police station.
The body was recovered after the prime suspect of the case, named Abu Bakar, who is also a close friend of the victim, confessed to having commited the murder.
Gizri SHO Rana Amjad told The Express Tribune that the deceased lived in Sixth Commercial Street, Defence Phase IV and his father Syed Jalal is director at the DHA Finance Department.
The officials added that he went missing on July 22 having left home after receiving Abu Bakr’s call. The accused had initially stated that he and the victim had gone to a local ‘Shesha’ restaurant but unidentified persons kidnapped Bilal.
Later on, during the course of interrogation, Abu Bakar confessed that he had intended to kidnap the victim for ransom but then decided to kill him. The real motive behind his action remains unclear.
Both the friends studied at the DHA school. Abu Bakr is a resident of Shirin Jinnah Colony and his father is also an employee of DHA.
He said that at least two more persons were implicated in the murder and Anti Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) was investigating the case further.

it is very shocking news. Just because of few guys people do not trust on any one . May ALLAH rest his soul in Comfort :)
I have a strong feeling that this Kid Abu- Bakr probably didnt do anything....Maybe the police beat the crap out of the kid and forced him to accept a crime he didnt do.If Ahmed's father was a high profile figure then I am sure he might have been kidnapped by some ppl, maybe the police themselves and it is they who commited the crime.So the torture the kids friends and make him accept a crime falsely..It happens so much in Pak.I know this because one uncle of mine who is in DHA and security services he is of this opinion too.
I pray for both the kids families.And may Allah give Jannah to little Ahmed Bilal...Ameen

May Allah bless the young man's soul and give courage to his family .Amen. Being a new employee at DHA I have not much interaction with Syed Jamal Macdi sahib, but from my elder workmates I ve heard Mr Macdi has a very nice character and is nice to every one. Was very surprised and a bit agitated about the kidnapping and the ghastly incident that occurred. The whole news shows the negativity of peer pressure, glamorizing by the media of the riches and materiality which I feel the boys who were involved succumbed into. The only solution of this lies into that parents should look more into the character and doings of their children, forbade them to interact with evil bad peers and be vigilant in these times of evil doings. The main problem was not with Ahmed's Macdi's parents being not vigilante but I highly deplore the parents of the kidnapping boys parents like Abu Bakar's who overlook their kids activities and dont give importance to their moral upbringings. Its time for such parents to wake up!
Pakistan FAILED to provide its people with justice. When one knows he can get away with murder, he does not think twice about his intentions. Pakistan FAILED to do anything about the MAFIA namely in Karachi,.. not only does it not work to get rid of the mafia there, it supports it! An incident like this is one of the many,.. just a number unfortunately. The solution is to fight against the mafia, feudalism & injustice. Things will fall into place slowly & surely then. My prayers are with Bilal's family.. and with the people of Pakistan.

I m cousin of Ahmed Bilal, very shocking news his friend killed him just for money, i heard dis news on Saturday 30th July, May Allah give strength to Bilal’s family..
Just by hearing and reading about this cruel cold blooded murder I cannot help myself to stop thinking about the poor innocent child. I just wonder what the family must be going through. Rest in Peace Ahmed Macdi, May Allah (SWT) gives you a higher place in Jannah.

Really sad. Only proper education at home and in school can prevent such incidents. This is the time of anarchy. Internet, satellite tv, hand phones, movies, tv, vulgar literature are mainly responsible for causing such ills. Only good education and understanding of religion may counter it.

I will advice to the young generation spend much time with their parent and grandparents. Parents are also spending triple the amount of time with their children and notice where they are going. We save the lives of young ages from Drug, Aids, smoking, wondering, and all the other bad societies, bad habits which can spoil the life. Excessive use of cell phones causes teens and young adults to experience restlessness, difficulty falling and staying asleep and increased susceptibility to stress and fatigue. They have also reported that boyfriends/girlfriends sharing private or embarrassing pictures/videos on cell phones and computers which is a serious problem. Talking or sending SMS text messages on a cell phone while driving is proven to be as dangerous as driving under the influence of alcohol. We have to provide a religious platform to the young age on which they can build their faith. Secondly we to make the children, youth religiously aware, arouse Spiritual maturity, bring spiritual awareness and prevent the children and youth from bad habits and evil societies. May Allah give strength to Bilal’s parents and all his siblings
This was the toughest condolence I have ever had to make. I could not utter a single word to Mr. Jamal Macdi. While Jamal Sb had put such a brave face in front of all but only Allah and Jamal Sb know what tough time he must be going through. May Allah grant Jamal Sb and his family all the patience to bear this huge loss.
May Allah Subhanahu Taa'la help both the families. As a psychologist, I believe that without wasting our time we need to start to train the parents to become true parents with the light and guidance of Allah Subhanahu Taala and the path of our holy prophet (PBUH). The elements of Jealousy, Insecurity, self pity and low self esteem are the secret devil's tools and they immediately need to be replaced with confidence, positive thinking, competition and true definition of success of this world, hereafter and heaven - within the minds of our youth, new generation and adults. Then only we can start to become a strong nation and our children would be highly and completely successful in the endeavors of their lives and would give a feeling of pride to their parents.

i studied with abu bakr from class 4-8 and he was a hafiz-e-quran. he cant do that. someone else would have done that....

A truly sad event . If a person doesn't trust his own bestfriend that who would he freely trust ? Whatever the reason , its never strong enough to turn to violence or be so barbaric . I didn't even know him but we all live in the same city , study in good schools but at the end of the day what did we learn ? I was truly shocked when I heard this and couldn't believe that someone could be so ruthless , that was me I can't even imagine what their families are going through May Allah give strength to both the families and may ahmeds soul rest in peace . Why people have become so barbaric, rude cruel and just look at their ages the boy and his kidnapper are just 15 or 16 .people. have become so materialistic they just need money, they get it by any means even doing heinious crimes ,.what kind of generation ???? The victims name was Ahmed Macdi. It is truly a sad incident and further horrifying when found out that a fellow classmate commited the crime. I hope God blesses him with heaven!

Ahmed was a very decent and patient boy. He was my sister's friend's brother. I heard alot of him, before his departure and I heard good. I was in Abu Bakr's school 2-3 years ago and I hardly suspected him to be a character of such high devilry. I used to notice that he would come and recite qirat everyday in the morning, but this??

It's an unfortunate incident whereas it's a very difficult time for Ahmed's parents. I personally think so many families will be affected, Abu Bakr's family will also go through a lot of turmoil in their lives and the future is not bright for their son. We all extend our heartfelt sympathies, If I, was so disturbed when I heard about him gone missing, I had not even seen the boy, what will the parents go through. We should all work on preventive aspects, so that in future we do not lose our young generation who may have been an asset to the nation, & also how can we prevent the agony of the concerned family.
