Social distancing violators penalised in Haripur

Several shopkeepers were held for violating lockdown measures by keeping their outlets open beyond 4pm

HARIPUR: As part of measures to ensure the effective implementation of a lockdown, imposed to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Haripur Additional Assistant Commissioner-1 Ali Sher Khan visited bazaars in the district.

He inspected the implementation of preventative measures by shopkeepers. Several shopkeepers were held for violating lockdown measures by keeping their outlets open beyond 4pm.

He also directed to strictly implement preventative measures such as social distancing to stop the spread of Covid-19. The AAC also inspected shops at the Haripur bazaar, Darband Bund, Adda Bazaar, Chapper Road, Purrana Bus Adda, Rwaily Road and directed shopkeepers to sell items per the official rate list.
