SINT-NIKLAAS: Australian Tour de France champion Cadel Evans hopes to do well at next year’s London Olympics as well as successfully defend his title. Evans thought he could manage both events, even though they fall within weeks of each other. “At this point in time, we are working towards the Tour de France in 2012,” said Evans. “Then we go to the Olympics just after that. At this point, we’re planning to be competitive at both. Where it goes on with selections and so on, directions and team mates, we will be there.”
