Balochistan minister directs speedy completion of uplift projects

Reviews measures to curb virus in border towns

QUETTA: Balochistan Finance Minister Zahoor Buledi on Sunday directed officials to complete welfare and development projects ongoing in various parts of the province, including district Kech.

“Standardisation and timely completion of the development projects is the responsibility of administrative officers,” said Buledi while presiding a meeting aimed to review measures for prevention of virus in border towns and also review uplift projects in Kech.

The meeting was held at the commissioner office Makran and it was attended by the provincial lawmaker Rashid Dashti, Makran Commissioner Tariq Qamar, Kech Deputy Commissioner Major (retd) Ilyas Kibzai, Panjgur Assistant Commissioner Amjad Saleem, Gwadar Additional Deputy Commissioner Anis Tariq and other district officers.

During the meeting, Buledi maintained the welfare projects would have positive impact on the lives of local people through improving the standard of living. Besides, he directed the commissioner to visit the uplift sites in order to resolve hurdles on time and assure timely completion of the projects.

Emphasising the quality of work for the uplift projects, the minister said no compromise would be made on the development work.

The attendees of the meeting briefed the finance minister about different projects, including health, education, agriculture sectors, water supply scheme and Turbat Buledha road. Buledi assured the funds would be released for timely completion of the work.
