Timely completion of projects stressed

SARGODHA: Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayyar Sheikh reviewed the pace of work on 265 schemes worth more than Rs810 million of 14 local government departments formed under the new LG system.

The DC was informed that the estimated cost of the schemes had been fixed at Rs550 million out of which tenders and work orders had been issued for 108 schemes at an initial cost of Rs540.2 million. He was briefed that the cost of 110 schemes of nine local bodies had been estimated at Rs294 million.

He was also informed that four schemes were of Kot Momin tehsil council, four of Sahiwal Municipal Committee, 22 of Sahiwal, 32 of Sargodha tehsil council, five of Sargodha Metropolitan Corporation, four of Shahpur tehsil council, 20 of Shahpur Municipal Committee, four of Sillanwali tehsil council and 15 schemes of Sillanwali Municipal Committee.
