Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri turn office space into quarantine facility

SRK also provided 25,000 PPE kits to the frontline medical staff in Maharashtra

Bollywood bigwig Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri offered their four-storey office space for treating Covid-19 patients, and have now shared glimpses of the facility.

Gauri took to Instagram to share snippets from the makeover which was carried out according to the standards set by BMC, under their guidance, reported Hindustan Times.

"#GauriKhanDesign‘s refurbished this office ...a quarantine zone providing essentials and services to those in need. We must stand together and stand strong in this fight against #Covid19," wrote Gauri, sharing a video of the newly converted space.

As seen in the video, the office is now equipped with 22 beds, all placed at a safe distance. SRK also shared a message on Twitter to commemorate the effort. "We both are thankful that we could be a part of your attempts to help and care for Mumbaikars," he said.



This isn't all though; SRK also provided 25,000 PPE kits to the frontline staff in Maharashtra hospitals fighting to contain the  pandemic in the state.

"We are all together in this endeavour to protect ourselves and humanity. Glad to be of service,” said Khan, addressing the Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare of Maharashtra.



The star has also contributed to the PM-Cares Fund through his IPL franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), in addition to making a donation to the Maharashtra CM’s Relief Fund through his film banner Red Chillies Entertainment.
