QUETTA: Speakers at a seminar paid tribute to the frontline workers in the battle against the coronavirus pandemic and urged the people to follow the government’s directives to forestall the spread of the respiratory disease.

The session titled “Comprehensive Response to Covid-19” was arranged by the Balochistan Rural Support Programme (BRSP) the other day in the provincial capital.

“Coronavirus awareness campaign has been launched in 27 districts of Balochistan to inform people about the precautionary measures such as social distancing and staying at home,” BRSP CEO Gul Barrech said while addressing the seminar.

“We have distributed masks, sanitisers, gloves and other safety equipment among people in 23 districts of the province,” he added.

“People should follow government’s safety precautions to slow down the spread of coronavirus,” he said.
