International assignments: New ambassadors meet president

ISLAMABAD: Ambassadors and High Commissioners of different countries separately called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday.  Those who called on President Zardari included: Ambassador to Oman Nawabzada Aminullah Khan Raisani, Ambassador to Portugal Humaira Hasan, Ambassador to Spain Rizwanul-Haq Mahmood, Ambassador to Myanmar Amjad Majid Abbasi, Ambassador to Morocco Tasnim Aslam, High Commissioner to Bangladesh Afrasiab Mehdi Hashmi, Ambassador to Bahrain Jauhar Saleem, Ambassador to Cambodia Fazalur-Rehman Kazim, and Ambassador to Swiss Confederation Muhammad Saleem. The president congratulated the designated Ambassadors and High Commissioners on their new assignments and advised them to focus on enhancing Pakistan’s bilateral, economic, trade and commercial ties with the countries of their accreditation.
