Another polio case emerges in Khairpur
Child had received seven doses of polio vaccine

Another polio case was reported in Khairpur on Tuesday, raising the number of persons infected in Sindh this year to 15.
Khairpur District Health Officer (DHO) Muhammad Hussain Abro confirmed that a 14-month-old boy, resident of Kalarai Narejo in the limits of Ahmedpur union council, Kingri taluka, has been diagnosed with poliomyelitis.
He informed that the child had received seven doses of polio vaccine in addition to three doses during routine immunisation.
The DHO added that the stool sample of the child was sent to Islamabad for the testing and the results turned out to be positive.
