‘Social distancing key to containing pandemic’

LAHORE: Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) Principal and member of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology Task Force for Corona Prof Sardar Muhammad has said social distancing was the only viable solution to overcome the coronavirus.

While talking to the media persons, he urged the people to implement standard operating procedures outlined by the government in institutions and other public places to curb the pandemic.

Prof Sardar Muhammad asserted that the Task Force for Corona, under the leadership of Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry, specialists and scientists of various institutions was conducting rapid research on the virus under the supervision of Prof Ataur Rehman.

“In the next 10-12 months there could be a big breakthrough with regard to coronavirus vaccine.”
