The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has constituted 18 teams to award propriety rights to the residents of katchi abadis in the city. FDA director general Chaudhary Muhammad Ashraf issued a statement on Friday saying that 74 katchi abadis had been identified in the district. He said that special teams had been assigned the task and directed the teams to hold camps in these localities to prepare sale deeds. Ashraf said that residents of katchi abadis should register with the relevant official team as soon as possible. Katachi abadis have to pay Rs172 per marla as a token of state land while allotment rights would be granted to them after the development charges are received.
