Cricket: Malik explains £90,000 in bank account

Says had to show a significant bank balance to purchase a house in England for his ill mother.

Former captain Shoaib Malik has finally managed to convince the Pakistan Cricket Board with regards to the unaccounted-for £90,000 in his bank account.

Malik has been kept out of the team after failing to convince the PCB and its integrity committee over the amount but PCB officials confirmed to The Express Tribune that the all-rounder has submitted an explanation and the PCB has accepted that. According to the explanation, Malik had to show a significant bank balance to purchase a house in England for his ill mother. Malik was named as a reserve for the tour of Zimbabwe when then squad was announced on Thursday.

Cant find a connection with buying a house and his mother being ill . This is pure laughing stock.. id say the article would get full marks if it were in entertainment section,,,

Yeah right!!!! Oh loookkkkk there's a pink blob in the sky ... it appears to have wings... and it can fly! If you must fabricate a story atleast put some effort in making it sound true. Your noble pious Shoaib Terresaness! (OK Im jealous! - Thats a lot of money and here I am slaving away 24-7 and earning less than peanuts.... more like grains of sand!) okay... minus the hours I spend reading the news :s ... and here his thingamajiggyness has 90k shacked up in his bank account!!! :s
