Salman Khan's brother-in-law wants kids to have Muslim first name, Hindu surname

Bollywood actor Aayush Sharma, who also doubles as superstar Salman Khan's brother-in-law in real life recently shared that he had always wanted his kids to have both Muslim and Hindu names, reported Hindustan Times. 

Aayush, who has two kids with Salman's sister Arpita Khan shared their reasoning. "We believe in secular relationships so we wanted both our kids to have a Muslim first name and a Hindu surname.”

He also revealed the inspiration behind their first-born Ahil's name. "We wanted everyone to be named with A. When I was travelling to London, I met a guy named Ahil and I thought it’s a very unique name and it turned out to mean the rightful prince in Persian and that was very fascinating."

The couple then welcomed their second child on December 27, naming her Ayat. Talking about his little one, the Loveyatri actor had some antics to share: "She’s still rather young but she’s started to react to people and associating with people. We take her out for strolls and she gets very fascinated by nature around. I’m just trying to fulfill my fatherly duties."

Aayush made his Bollywood debut with Loveyatri in 2018, which was produced by Salman Khan. He will next be seen in Kwatha, which will also star Isabelle Kaif, sister of Katrina Kaif.
