There have been objections on the performance of ministries and their departments after which the premier decided to monitor their performance himself.
According to sources in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the premier believes that despite the 48-member federal cabinet, the performance of several ministries and their subordinate departments is not satisfactory.
The PMO has directed all the federal ministers to submit a detailed report on the meetings held in their ministries, decisions taken and implementation on those decisions since the time of their taking office.
The ministers have also been asked to delineate on the future course of action of their ministry.
Sources close to PM Imran said that the premier would take decision about the future of ministers based on their performance reports and would sack those who are not performing up to expectations.
The federal ministers will brief the premier about the steps taken during their tenure as ministers.
It should be noted that PM Imran had already sought the performance report from the ministers.
Speaking at a meeting of party spokespersons after the recent cabinet reshuffle, the premier observed that only a minister whose performance would be up to the level mark will remain in his team.
