‘Efforts being made to curb dengue’

SARGODHA: Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nair Sheikh has directed all the departments concerned to accelerate their efforts for search and removal of dengue larvae and to raise awareness about the disease among the people.

He issued these instructions while presiding over an anti-dengue meeting on Wednesday.

DHO Dr Sohail Asghar Qazi, Focal person Dr Tariq Hassan and officers and representatives of all departments concerned were also present in the meeting.

The DC added that the weather was now favourable for dengue growth so that officers of health department and the Metropolitan Corporation should send the dengue brigade into the field.
