MANILA: Global K-pop group BTS announced that an at-home concert series will be streaming for free as their fans worldwide are stuck at home due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
The seven-member group announced their concerts dating as far as 2014 will be streamed online on April 18 and 19 via YouTube.
Dubbed as “BANG BANG CON,” the concert marathon on 12:00 p.m. this Saturday will feature “2015 BTS Live (Most Beautiful Moment In Life On Stage),” “2016 BTS Live (Most Beautiful Moment In Life On Stage: Epilogue),” “BTS 2014 Live Trilogy: Episode II The Red Bullet (2014 Memories),” and “BTS 3rd Muster (ARMY.ZIP+).”
On Sunday, four additional shows will be streamed, namely: “2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III The Wings Tour in Seoul,” “2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III The Wings Tour The Final (2017 Memories),” “BTS 4th Muster (Happy Ever After)” and “BTS World Tour ‘Love Yourself’ in Seoul.”
The COVID-19 pandemic had forced the group to cancel the Seoul leg of its new world concert tour series “Map of the Soul Tour” set for mid-April.
South Korea has so far recorded over 10,000 COVID-19 cases and at least 200 fatalities.
The group also pushed back the North American leg of its tour due to the global health crisis, which has infected over 1.5 million people worldwide.
