Rihanna says she's 'too busy saving the world' to release new album

The singer is making frequent donations towards coronavirus relief so she got mad during an Insta Live session...

It's been four years since 2016's Anti, so superstar singer Rihanna's fans are understandably hungry for more material, especially since she has been teasing the release of her new album for months.

But while we're all self-isolating and waiting out the coronavirus pandemic, we shouldn't expect the drop of Rihanna's highly-anticipated album anytime soon.

According to Page Six, Rihanna snapped at fans who kept asking her about the forthcoming album. During the Instagram Live session, viewers were insistent about getting more information when Diamonds hitmaker stopped everything and set the record straight.

Rihanna insisted she's busy right now doing everything she can to slow the spread of COVID-19 and taking a jab at the president of the United States, Donald Trump. In true Rihanna fashion, she didn't hold back.

"If one of y'all ask me about the album one more time when I'm tryna save the world, unlike y'all president ... on sight!" she said.

Fans may already know what she's done, but for anyone wondering, Rihanna has donated $5 million for global coronavirus relief through the Clara Lionel Foundation in addition to pledging another $1 million with Jay-Z that went to Los Angeles and New York.

If that wasn't enough, she also teamed up with Twitter's Jack Dorsey to address anyone having to cope with domestic violence during the quarantine.

Their $4.2 million donation will "provide 10 weeks of support including shelter, meals, and counselling for individuals and their children suffering from domestic violence at a time when shelters are full and incidents are on the rise," according to a press release.

Saving the world is taking precedent over music and as much as fans need some new tunes to get them through this pandemic, it looks like Rihanna's focusing on what matters to her.
