FPCCI lauds reopening of Pak-Afghan trade

Call for safety measures while clearing the transport and disinfection of the trucks

PESHAWAR: The reopening of Pak-Afghan border is a strategic step of government to facilitate business communities of both the countries.

The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Vice President Qaisar Khan Daudzai said this in a statement on Saturday.

Daudzai said also lauded the efforts of the local administrations for provision of food and maintaining proper screening of the container crews of the trucks stranded at the border due to Covid-19 situation.

The FPCCI vice president further said the local authorities on the borders should allow those containers on priority which are carrying perishable and pharmaceutical items. He said safety measures should be properly maintained while clearing the transport and disinfection of the trucks.
