Taher Shah releases new song 'Farishta'

Mankind's angel is really here to save us all, as promised

Taher Shah has made a comeback, and we have to say, it's a 100% on-brand!

Titled Farishta, meaning Angel, which the singer has already used as a reference for his earlier quasi-hit Mankind's Angel, the song takes quite a bit (read: a lot) of inspiration from the previous viral track.

As the promos on Shah's twitter hinted, the song features a 'mankind's angel' who is the epitome of perfection amongst humans - not to mention, it's a kid who has the inexplicable means (a flying unicorn) to fly to the heavens and fall in love with an actual angel.

You have to see it to believe it.

Of course, just as the song premiered, Twitter imploded with reactions to the new meme anthem.

One user likened the visual of the farishta atop his flying unicorn to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - which is, quite frankly, blasphemy but we will let it slide for the laughs.

Another posted a picture of a Singer brand sewing machine with the witty caption, " Still a better singer."

There was another Harry Potter reference. Yeah, there are quite some, of course, we're talking about an insan farishta (human angel).

Many others just wanted to thank him for the entertainment. As do we.

The song's YouTube comment section is also a treat if you're looking for a few chuckles this morning under lockdown.
