KARACHI: The World Wide Fund for Nature-Pakistan (WWFPAK) has launched a water and environmental sanitation improvement project in coastal areas of the city. The launching ceremony was organised by the WWFPAK in collaboration with the United Nations’ human settlements programme, UN-Habitat and the Coca-Cola Company. The two-year project is being implemented in the Kakapir and Soomer villages and caters to 300 households. It aims to address the lack of adequate water supplies, sewerage systems and solid waste management in these communities.
