Security forces killed seven terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's North Waziristan district, a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.

During the exchange of fire with terrorist at their hideout in Zakir Khel area, two soldiers also embraced martyrdom, the military's media wing said.

According to the ISPR, one of the martyred soldiers identified as Sepoy Momin Shah, 23, resident of Garra Hayat village, DI Khan, is survived by wife.

Another soldier, Sepoy Muhammad Sajid ,aged 31 years, hailed from Abdul Jabba village of Banda Pir in Abbottabad, has left behind wife and three daughters.

Earlier this week, security forces carried out intelligence-based operations in K-P’s tribal areas, killing seven terrorists and recovered arms and ammunition.

The area is among the seven tribal districts in Fata – Bajaur, Khyber, Kurram, Mohmand, North Waziristan, Orakzai and South Waziristan – before its merger with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
