We will save the world from COVID-19: Taher Shah on new song

The mankind's angel will release the song in some hours and believes life would be normal soon after

You can't be a true Pakistani millennial if you don't have a deeply repressed memory of  yourself singing along to the lyrics 'fabulous, sensational eyes.'

Now, the maestro behind the meme-worthy masterpiece Eye to Eye, Taher Shah, is all set to make a comeback with a new song, and the timing is just right to get you out of the dumps during this lockdown - yes, he is on a mission to wipe out COVID-19!

"Few hours to go... stay tuned," posted Shah on his Twitter, a few hours ago.

In Shah's own words prior to the release date i.e today, "Mankind's angel (Shah) will come this Friday." An accompanying picture with the message reads, "All of you are like mankind's angel and we will all together save the world from COVID-19. Believe it, novel coronavirus will not exist anymore and soon life will become normal as it was before."

Shah has been teasing the music video for quite a while now - he had earlier planned to release it on April 3, counting down to the date on his Twitter. However, on the eve of April 2, he decided to extend the countdown till April 10, which is today.

He also posted cryptic revelations about what the song could be about, with pictures that read, "In this life, we can only get happiness from love."
