5-week-old Israeli baby tested positive for COVID-19

As more than 9,755 people tested positive for the virus with 79 deaths in the region

JERUSALEM:
A 5-week-old baby was diagnosed with the novel coronavirus, said Sheba Medical Center in central Israel on Thursday.


The hospital added that the baby is in mild condition and treated in a special quarantined area at the intensive care unit for COVID-19 patients.

According to the Israeli Ministry of Health, 79 coronavirus patients have died so far in the country, out of 9,755 people tested positive for the virus. A total of 165 patients are in serious condition, of which 119 are ventilated.
