CM to lead committee on coronavirus

Balochistan Chief Secretary Capt (retd) Fazeel Asghar has been included as secretary of the committee

QUETTA: Provincial Services and General Administration Department has issued a notification stating that the provincial government has constituted a parliamentary committee led by Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani regarding government’s efforts and relief operations during the coronavirus pandemic.

Provincial ministers Nawabzada Tariq Magsi, Sardar Abdul Rehman Kethran, Mir Zia Langove, Asadullah Baloch, Sardar Yar Muhamamd Rind, Abdul Khaliq Hazara, MPAs Asghar Khan Achakzai, Nawabzada Gohram Bugti, Syed Ehsan Shah, opposition leader Malik Sikandar Advocate, Malik Naseer Shahwani and Nasrullah Zeeray have been inducted as members of the panel.

Balochistan Chief Secretary Capt (retd) Fazeel Asghar has been included as secretary of the committee that would review government’s affairs regarding the virus and would suggest its recommendation over preventions.

Meanwhile, provincial secretaries Dostain Jamaldini, Imran Gichki, Saleh Muhammad Nasir, Mudassir Waheed Malik and Director General Provincial Disaster and Management Authority Imran Zarkoon would assist the committee in efforts against the COVID-19.

Earlier, the Balochistan government constituted a parliamentary committee led by Chief Secretary Balochistan but the move stirred harsh criticism from the opposition.
