KARACHI: Nine coronavirus patients belonging to Quaidabad’s Gulistan Society have been shifted to the Malir isolation centre, where all possible facilities are being provided to them, stated Sindh Human Settlements Minister Ghulam Murtaza Baloch on Monday.

Presiding over a meeting at the Malir deputy commissioner’s office, he gave orders for the immediate closure of outpatient departments at government and private hospitals in the area, given the emergence of cases in Quaidabad.

He said it was a fact that there was no cure for the contagious disease, and it could only be prevented through social distancing. As a result, he urged the masses to fully implement the lockdown, protecting their lives as well as those of their loved ones.

“The Sindh government is committed to utilising all resources to protect citizens from the coronavirus,” he asserted.
