Maya Ali announces break from social media

The 'Parey Hut Love' actor ensured that her ration drive will continue during her absence

Maya Ali has announced that she will be taking an indefinite break from social media, in pursuit of detoxing her system during these trying times amid the ongoing pandemic.

The Parey Hut Love actor, who has been at the forefront of the celebrity roster using their voice to promote awareness about the virus and its spread took to Instagram late Monday evening to share her way of dealing with the circumstances.

"I am going to take a short break from social media. Everyone is doing their best in their own way to deal with this time. I thought it’s the best time to detox, to find inner peace and reset my whole system," she wrote, adding that "there is always hope and this time shall pass too."

Maya has been deeply involved in the distribution of ration bags to those in need, specially daily wagers whose income has been severely affected by the lockdown. "My team will keep updating about the ration bags and yes, I am very thankful to each and every person who has donated," she ensured.

"Sometimes we need time to think and count our blessings," she added and concluded her farewell message with, "Stay safe for yourself and for your loved ones. Talk to you all soon and love to all my fans."

Here's hoping the detox does her good and gets her some well-deserved rest.
